Online Education Terminology

• Canvas - The name of the course software.
• Hybrid Course - A class that meets online and on campus.
• Late-Start Class - A class that begins 4 to 6 weeks after the start of the regular semester.
• Online Course - A class that meets entirely online with no class meetings on campus.
• Short-Term Course - A class that meets for less fewer than 16 weeks.
• MyNVC - The website where you register for classes and view your grades.
